We understand everyone is going through difficult times and we are doing our best to continue to offer the Dharma to you during these times from the comfort of your home! In April we will start offering zoom classes with Venerable Tendron, we are working on these details now and will keep you updated.
Please check our calendar for more information and to register for these Zoom classes as registration is required. We are currently suggesting a donation of $20 per class. For those of you that can afford to make an offering, you may want to contribute to someone else's attendance and/or want to contribute to our ongoing center operating costs.

Need another reason to join us - Daily meditation could slow aging in your brain, study says
Taking up meditation while sheltering-in-place may not only help you cope with the stress of the coronavirus pandemic, it may even keep your brain from aging. Read more about study here.
Have an inspiring story to share? As every day passes we hear more about how this pandemic is affecting the entire world, there is so much suffering going on in every moment. There are also lots of amazing things happening and this is a good practice to get in the habit of following the good news. These stories help to keep us connected to each other, they give us hope, remind us about our Buddha nature and encourage us not to give up and maybe even to offer a helping hand to someone in need.
Our aspiration is to help students achieve their maximum potential for wisdom, happiness, and compassion. Our programs present Buddhist teachings in an authentic and traditional manner. At the same time, we show how the teachings of the Buddha continue to be effective with the current challenges in our lives today. You can learn more about Buddhism here.
We are affiliated with the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT) founded by Lama Zopa Rinpoche and Lama Thubten Yeshe. Under the spiritual direction of Lama Zopa Rinpoche, the FPMT has been bringing the teachings of the Buddha to the West for several decades and has over 160 centers and charitable projects worldwide. We follow the tradition of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and it is our honor to serve and support his way. For more information about FPMT click here. You may subscribe to FPMT's Monthly Newsletters by clicking here.
Join us for a teaching by our resident teacher, Venerable Tendron, an American nun who explores Buddhist tools and techniques with a Western perspective. Sunday classes are ideal for newcomers focusing on methods to cope with the demands of daily life. If you wish to study Buddhism in depth you might want to choose our Thursday night series of Discovering Buddhism. For more information on our classes check out the Programs tab.
We are only open during teachings, so if you would like more information or have a question, please give us a call at 954.421.6224
