*NEW*: Overview of the Buddhist Path

The Lam Rim Chenmo is perhaps the world’s greatest “outline” of Buddhist philosophy and practice. Written by Je Tsongkhapa (1357-1419), this brilliant text describes the entire path to enlightenment, with clarity and conciseness that revolutionized the way students learn Buddhism. Our resident teacher Geshe Konchog Kyab presents highlights from this important and inspirational text, with a focus on the chapters discussing wisdom and emptiness.

Guide to the Bodhisattva's Way of Life

The great Indian yogi and scholar Shantideva composed his 'Guide to the Bodhisattva's Way of Life' in the 8th Century AD. It continues to be one of the most enduring and inspiring spiritual texts in the world. Beautifully written, amazingly modern, and always practical--this course examines Shantideva's seminal text in its fullest dimension. Geshe Konchog Kyab spent years studying and memorizing The Guide at his monastery in India, and now shares his commentary, focused especially on the chapters pertaining to emptiness and the philosophical tenets of Buddhism.

Purification Practice

In the bustle of ordinary life, we sometimes do or say things we regret. We may have yelled at someone dear to us, gotten angry with a stranger, or killed a household pest. In the course of our lives, we may have even done things far worse. We must purify these negative deeds in order to move forward with a clean slate, and a clear conscience. In the future, we must commit to a more virtuous path of action. The purification practice called "Prostration to the 35 Buddhas" is extremely effective at purifying past negative actions and accumulating virtuous merit. The practice begins with a motivation and visualization and precedes through the recitation of the 35 Buddhas’ names in English, confession prayers, and dedication.
