Students

Whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced student of Buddhism, one of our on-going classes can provide the in-depth instruction you have been seeking to enrich your practice and enliven your life. Our resident teacher explains what the Buddha taught in terms westerners can relate to and understand. Whether it’s basic beliefs, Buddhist philosophy, meditation and mindfulness, or methods for generating love and compassion, you can find instruction on the topics you are interested in.

Click on the tabs below to see descriptions of our educational offerings, which meet either weekly or monthly. Our calendar page shows dates and times for these classes, all held at the Tubten Kunga Center in Deerfield Beach.

Intermediate/Advanced Class: The Path to Enlightenment

Beginning on October 25, 2016, TKC continues its classes on the Lam Rim Chenmo with teachings on Volume 2 of The Great Treatise on the Stages of the Path to Enlightenment by Lama Tsongkhapa (1357-1419). This book presents a detailed outline of the path from ordinary life to total enlightenment, and is taught in monasteries around the world.

Students will study, discuss, and meditate on the six perfections under the guidance of our resident teacher, Venerable Tendron.

Recorded teachings on Volume 1 of this invaluable text can be found here.

This course is recommended for intermediate-level students, but all are welcome.
